Nagaarjun N

M.Sc. Applied Economics (2013), Madras School of Economics,

B.Tech Mechanical Engineering (2011) SRIT, Anna university, Chennai, Tamilnadu, India.

He worked as an IBDP Economics facilitator, The Indian Public School, Chennai, 2017 – 2020

He was born in Tamilnadu, India where he completed his education (schooling, bachelor’s, and master’s), and early years of vocation as a teacher. After completing the bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, he pursued a master’s in economics; to him, the dynamics of society mattered more than the mechanics of motor engines and robots. Before coming to Sahyadri he was working in a school in Chennai.

He claims that life in Sahyadri so far has been nice. He continues to enjoy what Sahyadri offers. When it comes to Sahyadri, he is spot agnostic — have an equal liking for all the spots in the campus. It is enriching for him to work with people who have come from different backgrounds with various worldviews. He is starting to understand — to borrow an old saying — the importance of entertaining a thought even without accepting it.

Two quotes often strike and inspire him.

சிறகிலிருந்து பிரிந்த
இறகு ஒன்று
காற்றின்
தீராத பக்கங்களில்
ஒரு பறவையின் வாழ்வை
எழுதிச் செல்கிறது”

― பிரமிள்

English translation of which goes like

“A feather that got detached from the wings,

goes writing the life story of a bird

in the never-ending pages of the open(space)”

— Pramil.

Of the many quotes from J.K, he likes “It is no measure of health to be well adjusted to a profoundly sick society”.
